THE OPPORTUNITY

Brooke House FC is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the position of Men's Head Coach for the 2027 USL League Two season.

We are looking for an ambitious and experienced coach to take responsibility for leading the team both on and off the field, while playing an important role in the continued development of the Brooke House FC program.

Our USL League Two program provides an important platform for ambitious players to compete at a high level while developing within a professional-style environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the continued growth and development of Brooke House FC and our Men's USL League Two program.

THE ROLE

Working closely with the Brooke House FC leadership and Sporting Department, the Head Coach will have overall responsibility for the sporting performance, organization and day-to-day operation of the USL League Two team.

The successful candidate will be expected to combine strong coaching leadership with excellent organizational and operational skills, ensuring the team is professionally prepared both on and off the field.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Head Coach will be responsible for:

• Leading the coaching and management of the Brooke House FC USL League Two team.
• Developing and implementing a clear playing philosophy and game model aligned with Brooke House FC's overall football philosophy.
• Pre-season planning and preparation.
• Player recruitment and roster development in conjunction with the Sporting Department.
• Operational planning and coordination of the team schedule, including training sessions, matches, travel, meetings, player activities and other team commitments.
• Planning and delivering high-quality training sessions.
• Match preparation and tactical planning.
• Team selection and management.
• Leading the team on match days and overseeing all game-day operations.
• Recruitment, selection and management of appropriate backroom and support staff, including assistant coaches and other technical or performance personnel, in conjunction with Brooke House FC leadership.
• Ensuring the coaching and backroom team is appropriately structured and resourced to support the team's sporting and operational requirements.
• Managing and developing coaching and support staff.
• Providing regular feedback and individual development plans for players.
• Post-match analysis and player feedback.
• Maintaining high standards of discipline, professionalism and player welfare.
• Establishing strong relationships with players, staff, colleges, professional clubs and other football organizations.
• Maintaining regular communication with Brooke House FC leadership and the Sporting Department.
• Supporting the club's wider player development pathway.
• Identifying opportunities for players to progress into the collegiate and professional game.
• Representing Brooke House FC professionally at all times.
• Building a positive team culture based on professionalism, accountability, development and high performance.

PLAYER DEVELOPMENT

A major part of the Brooke House FC philosophy is player development.

The USL League Two program provides a platform for talented players looking to compete at a high level while pursuing opportunities in the collegiate and professional game.

The Head Coach will therefore be expected to take a development-first approach, while maintaining a competitive mentality and clear standards of performance.

The successful candidate should have an understanding of developing players within the 16 to 23 age range and preparing them for the demands of the next level.

The Head Coach will be expected to attend and lead all scheduled training sessions and USL League Two fixtures, both home and away, throughout the season.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum USSF B Licence or equivalent preferred.
• Proven coaching experience at a competitive collegiate, USL, professional academy or equivalent level.
• Experience working with high-level young adult players.
• Strong understanding of player development and the US college soccer pathway.
• Excellent knowledge of modern coaching methodologies.
• Strong tactical understanding and ability to develop and implement a clear playing philosophy.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to recruit, manage and develop coaching and backroom staff.
• Strong organizational and operational skills.
• Ability to manage a seasonal program and coordinate multiple team commitments.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a wider sporting organization.
• Full driver's licence and reliable transportation preferred.

USSF A Licence or equivalent and previous USL, MLS, professional academy or NCAA coaching experience would be highly desirable.
